Zhu Zhifan (died 1510) was a member of Ming Dynasty's Royal family. He held the title "Prince of Anhua" from 1492 until 1510; his major power was in central Shaanxi.

Uprising

The Prince of Anhua had long thought himself as suitable candidate to become Ming's Emperor. He share his view to several military commander, officials, local scholars and shamans also recruiting handful soldiers.

In 1510, court official Liu Jin dispatch to Shaanxi in order to implement the new rate of taxations on military field. Corrupted Taxation officials being punished, all of them were Prince of Anhua men. Anhua took this opportunity and stirred up his supporter to rebel.

On 12 May 1510, all high officials of the region were invited to a banquet held at the Prince residence. During the banquet, rebel soldiers rush in and slaughtered several officers, officials, and eunuchs. Soldiers also sent to killed officials which refuse to attend the banquet. Then their office was destroyed and burned.

Anhua proclaim his rebel with reason to get rid of Liu Jin and ask for regional commanders, hoping for reinforcement. The commanders were too afraid of Liu Jin's power, then refused to respond. Liu Jin failed to repel the rebel and then quickly flee away.

Soon this news reached the court, Zhengde Emperor send Imperial army in order to punish the prince. General Yang Yiqing was in charge of supreme commander and eunuch Zhang Yong was appointed as inspector of the army. However, before they reached Shaanxi, the uprising was already put down. On 30 May 1510, an cavalry commander who feigned to join the uprising seized Prince of Anhua.

Death

After the seizure of Anhua, Zhang Yong escorted the prince to Beijing. Anhua was soon executed in the same year.
